What we do

The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet, and in the cause and prevention of disease
— Thomas Edison

Chiropractic is a complete system of healthcare focused on restoring, preserving, and optimising health with natural hands-on care.

Your brain and nervous system controls and coordinates the function of all the systems in the body. When your brain and body are communicating effectively your body and health flourish. Any interference to this communication results in a breakdown to the system causing your body to not function at its best. Spinal misalignments caused from the various stressors of everyday life can cause this nervous system interference.

Chiropractic is a natural form of health care that uses spinal adjustments to correct these misalignments, remove interference and restore proper function to the nervous system, helping your body to heal naturally. A spinal adjustment is the application of a precise force to a specific part of the spinal segment, correcting the misalignment, permitting normal nerve transmission and assisting your body to recuperate on its own. Only a Chiropractic examination can detect these misalignments and only Chiropractic adjustments can reduce their effect to your nervous system..

  • Paediatric Care

Paediatric adjusting, also known as chiropractic care for babies and children, offers numerous benefits for young bodies. Gentle and non-invasive, pediatric adjusting can help to improve overall health and wellbeing, boost the immune system, and enhance physical and mental development. By removing subtle misalignments in the spine, paediatric adjusting can also help to alleviate common childhood issues such as colic, ear infections, and ADHD-like symptoms. Additionally, paediatric adjusting can promote better sleep, improved digestion, and increased energy levels, setting the stage for a happy and healthy childhood. • TMJ Dysfunction

Chiropractors are well-equipped to address TMJ issues, as the joint's proper function is closely tied to the alignment and movement of the spine and neck. Misalignments in the cervical spine can put strain on the TMJ, leading to symptoms like jaw pain, clicking, and locking. Chiropractors use spinal adjustments to restore proper alignment and relieve pressure on the TMJ. They may also use specific TMJ adjustments, soft tissue techniques, and exercises to improve joint mobility and strength. By addressing the underlying spinal and neck mechanics, chiropractors can help alleviate TMJ pain and discomfort, improve jaw function, and even help resolve related issues like tinnitus, sinus pain, earaches, and headaches. When indicated, Chiropractors also use advanced techniques like trigger point therapy and cranial work to further support TMJ health.

  • Cranial Sacral Therapy

Chiropractic care and Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST) combine to create a powerful approach to wellness. Chiropractic adjustments align the spine, relieving pressure on the nervous system, while CST uses gentle, subtle techniques to release tension in the cranial sacral system, promoting relaxation, reducing stress, and enhancing fluid dynamics. Together, they harmonize the body's rhythms, improve spinal and cranial alignment, and facilitate the body's natural healing processes. This integrated approach not only leads to improved overall health, balance, and vitality but also provides relief from tension headaches and migraines by releasing physical and emotional stress stored in the neck, scalp, and cranial bones.

NET is a mind-body approach to chiropractic care that focuses on addressing the emotional and neurological aspects of a patient's health. Developed by Dr. Scott Walker, NET aims to identify and release stored emotional patterns and traumas that can lead to physical pain, stress, and illness. By combining gentle chiropractic adjustments with techniques from psychology and neuroscience, NET practitioners help patients unlock and release "stuck" emotional states, promoting profound relaxation, reduced stress, and improved overall well-being. Through NET, patients can experience transformative changes in their physical and emotional health, leading to increased resilience, vitality, and life fulfillment. By addressing the interplay between the nervous system, emotions, and body, NET offers a unique and holistic approach to chiropractic care.

The examination consists of a postural and full Chiropractic spinal examination, as well as neurological assessment when indicated . In some cases the Chiropractor may refer you for X-rays based on your examination findings. You may then receive your first Chiropractic adjustment, depending on your consultation and examination findings. Allow approximately 30min for this visit.

Initial Consultation and Examination

Followup Visit and Regular Visits

At your followup visit you will be questioned on your symptomatic changes and then a Chiropractic examination will be performed to assess the physical changes and how the nervous system is responding to your first adjustment. Examination tests will be re-performed to measure the degree of change when indicated. We will then discuss your examination findings, how Chiropractic can best benefit you and then propose a schedule of care that is specific to you and your needs. We take into consideration the severity of your concerns, age and condition of your spine, and time frame of how long the problem has been present for. You will receive a Chiropractic adjustment based on your new findings.

Regular visits take approximately 10min where your spine will be assessed and adjusted where indicated, following your care plan. As you progress we will cover any at home exercise, rehabilitation, concurrent care methods, stretches, and lifestyle changes you may need to be utilising.
